Addiction means we do certain things continuously, either consciously or subconsciously. Agreed!
EGO, for sure is a type of addition. One could choose to ignore it but by the time you realize, you’re already inside “The Ego trap”.
In my opinion, best is to shift your focus on things you ever wanted to do. Your unfinished pet project, mastery over a musical instrument, your travel bucketlist… Look, when we say “I will not let my ego take over myself”, we are thinking about ego.
“We suffer a lot due to excessive thinking”. This is also a major cause of ego addition.
Just be conscious of your actions, and continue to do things you like.
